Winter

I don't know who's bright idea it was to road ride today but there's five extra sets of burnt out lungs tonight, including Russell who may or may not make it through the night. Of course the Mormons are a prayin' for him so maybe he will make it after all. I saw Mikey in the grocery store tonight and we coughed up a greeting to each other. Bubba, Russell, Mikey G, Coooop, Big Jim and myself set out for a nice little two hour cruise from Bubba's hut at about 12:30. Within approximately twelve seconds we all realized that it was going to suck riding into the west wind on a sub-freezing day so we made strongman Russell pull all the way out BurlIves to Brookfield where Big Jim decided that last night's fun just wasn't agreeing with this afternoon's folly. He left part of his soul on BurlIves just west of Pilgrim road and promptly turned tail and headed for home mumbling something about Russell's relentless pace and it being only February for chrissakes.

After that bit-o-fun the rest of the ride was kind of boring in comparison. We pit stopped in Pew!-aukee and turned back east again. That was kind of fun boppin' along at 23+ mph without really trying. North ave hill was looming and Cooop wasn't all too happy about the idea of going up it. Turns out he had good reason for his sentiment as he was stuck in the big ring. Oops. What the f*ck was he doing in the big ring in the first place? It is February after all. Just ask Big Jim.

And so it goes. Ride number four for the year is in the books and I'm starting to feel the enthusiasm coming back. After last year's racing ending on December 4th I wanted to take some time off and start (training) a little later this year. I'm a good six weeks behind the last few years and I hope that that translates into a stronger cross season later in the year. I'll be racing with the old (read fast) guys this year in Masters 40 and I'd like to put up a good fight.

Interbike 04- better late than never

With my pal Eddy. Can you see how thrilled he was to pose with me? Best buds I'll tell you.

The man Phil hisself. Truly a nice guy to sip chanpagne with. Life's rough huh?

Big Magnus Backstedt. The biggest rider in the pro peloton. Even bigger than Russell.

Speaking of the major dookie himself. Some of you may have heard the story about Russell abusing a little four wheeler until the axle twisted. Yeah, this is the evidence.

If you're a true bike geek you'll know who this dude is.

More PS work

Me, Estabrook CX 2005

Some cool PS stuff

The Rocket

The Goat

Forgot to post this one

This is where we found Bubba when we rolled up to the ride last weekend. Laying on the ground seems to be his habit. Or maybe he was just trying to imitate Jack. Hmm.

Mrs. Sug on her shiny new 29er SS. Sweet.

Yours truly.

Trying to catch snowflakes like when he was a kid. Ok, he's still a kid.

BBBBMMMMXXXX part 2

Maddie L., daughter of number 1 public servant Jay getting better by the day.

Extra Fast Guy Ron wondering what he's doing in the same building, much less the same picture as these other three....

Mountaingoat juniorette Zoe showing us all that gymnastics skills are great for bmx too. Maddie is excited to have another girl to ride and yak with.

Speaking of Mountaingoat, he looks like he knows his way around the track as he can already smoke most of the rest.

Megatron definitely gets bmx. Her dad should take some lessons from her.

I had to make two posts just to get in all the faces at the track last night. And there's a whole lot I'm not even putting up! Thanks to Dave and Danny Schneider for getting us involved in the track.

BBBBMMMMXXXX

Man, the house was rockin' with WORS racers and thier kids tonight. If it keeps going like this we'll seriously reduce the percentage of trailer trash at the track in short order.

Welcome back to Danny. He's making his comeback after being crashed out by fast girl and number one niece Sammy. That's the Blonde Jesus aka Ray and the crasher coming up behind him.

The Ronsta made an appearance between autograph sessions. The man has some serious Mad Skills for sure.

Mountaingoat Junior was there getting used to his new ride.

Even Bubba's Bitch Randy was in the house for the first time. He realized that he didn't have any skillz, mad or otherwise. He done got addicted tho' like a ten dollar hooker after her first hit of crack.

Soccer

As witnessed at my kids' soccer game this week. Man, it's some truly cutthroat competion in the U-6 Tosa Kickers. And this was one of the opposing players saluting the ref.
